UNIVERSITY NEWSPAPER:
UWI TODAY
I edited four issues of the monthly university news magazine UWI Today (see downloadable PDFs), produced by the Marketing & Communications Office of the University of the West Indies, St Augustine campus in Trinidad. This job involved generating story ideas, commissioning stories from freelancers, working with content written by university academics, communicating with the Marketing Director for key messaging, editing all content (stories, photos, layout decisions), maintaining the existing brand standards, and communicating with teams to produce each issue on time.
BOOK PROJECT: HISTORY OF NAAP
I researched, wrote, and was co-editor of the factual book "History of the National Association
of Administrative Professionals of Trinidad & Tobago: 1969 to 2019." The book is in the process of being published this year (2023). A senior editor, Mr. Ramcharitar, suggested substantive edits, which I implemented, and I did further edits to the text to aid in fluency, clarity, and brevity. All edits were done in close cooperation with the commissioning body, the Executive of NAAP.
